We made over 1300 masks with schools around Adams 12 for medical personnel until they told us that they were all set!
During that time, we had started talking with mail carriers and the fire department to see if they needed any help with masks. The fire department contact my wife, Kelly, and told her that they were all set but that the police department was looking for mask opportunities. Kelly talked to Officer Mendez with the Thornton Police Department and he requested 150 masks. We are still making masks, but we were able to drop off 100 masks (the picture left) to help the police officers on the front lines every day! |
FinishingWe have to make sure that the masks that we are giving to the police are completely ready to go!
|
BaggingWe bag them up by sizes (S, M, LG, XL), place a tag on them so that they can get more info and then we deliver them to the PD.
|
ContinuingWe continue to move forward on creating masks as this pandemic is likely to continue for a long time. Next steps will be to reach out to others on the front lines (grocery workers, construction, maybe even students and teachers!).
