Today we will being our journey into inquiry.
We will get set up in Google Classroom, answer a very important question and start to wonder. Today students will try their hand at breaking into the Breakout Box. Basically, the Breakout Box is a box with multiple locks on it with a prize inside. The clues for the box are all around the room and students will have 35 minute to break into the box!
After some trials and tribulations today, students from both 8th and 7th grade classes were able to break into the box! This activity really tests the students' perseverance, problem-solving, and grit. Those 4 locks were no match for the students' big brains! Hello Sleepy Students!
I know, I know. Your sleepy brains are struggling today. Your brain is sputtering while trying to cope with the fact that the school year has fired up again. But stutter no more! Your teachers are here to help you ease into the academic gymnastics that your brain will thank you for later. The makerspace class will help your brain even more! In this class you will learn to think outside the box, solve problems, and maybe even become famous! You will need to put forth a great effort and stay focused, but if you do so, you might help pave the way to solving some great real world problems! I can't wait to work with you all and I really can't wait to see what you can create! -Mr. Schuster |
