Ping Pong Experiment Update!
We have officially collected all of our ping pong experiments! 41 experiments being sent to the edge of space!
All of the experiments have been weighed for their "before flight mass" and all of the experiments include a testable question and hypothesis. There are lots of food experiments. One student told me, "I am sending cookies up, because who wouldn't want to eat a space cookie?" All of the experiments, their testable questions, and hypotheses can be found on the Balloon Experiment Tracker Page! Check them out and create your own hypothesis about what you think will happen.
The Launch Date Has been Set!
As of this post, we are set for launch on Friday, May 12 at 8:30am. We will launch from the football field at Rocky Top Middle School. For more info check out the Near Space Balloon Command Center.
I have a small group of students from my iHelp team (student-lead tech gurus) who will help me get everything ready for the launch. Everyone who is sending up an experiment will come out to watch the launch. We also hope to live stream the launch for the rest of the students to watch from their classrooms as well!
Fingers crossed for good weather, low winds, and a successful launch!
